Hospitals would prefer to lobby Congress for increased government payments, new reimbursement incentives, and less red tape. Instead, they are having to devote much of their time and political capital to delaying and mitigating some of the $1 trillion in healthcare spending cuts that helped fund Republicans' tax cuts, according to a STAT+ exclusive report by Daniel Payne.
