STAT+: Sanofi to lay off 229 workers in Mass., a year after $9.1B Blueprint Medicines acquisition
Sanofi, one of Massachusetts' largest pharmaceutical employers, has filed a notice with the state's Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development announcing the layoff of 229 workers. The affected employees work for Blueprint Medicines, a Cambridge-based biotech that Sanofi acquired in a $9.1 billion deal in July 2025.
The positions will be cut between Oct. 9 and late June 2027, according to the filing.
