StockWatch: Nektar Shares Flat as $90M Jury Verdict Less than Sought in Lilly Suit

Nektar Therapeutics shares finished Friday little changed/down 4% from $59.38 to $57.06, even after a jury sided with the San Francisco biotech over Eli Lilly in a three-year-old legal dispute.

The dispute centered on Lilly's termination of a collaboration agreement to co-develop Nektar's lead pipeline candidate, rezpegaldesleukin (rezpeg). The jury awarded Nektar $90 million, less than the company had sought, helping explain why the court win did not translate into a Wall Street gain.
